Anarchy and a maelstrom of terror prevails in The McClane Apocalypse, the exhilarating new novel from author Kate Morris . A daunting foray into an apocalyptic near future with a strong moral theme, the action comes fast and furious whilst the devices of suspense and tension are sure to keep the pages turning. It certainly isn\'t for the faint hearted and is decidedly graphic at times, as Morris imaginatively renders a multitude of backdrops which are clearly articulated and thoughtfully observed. Her plot rapidly evolving with an underlying and often evocative commentary on the weaknesses and ultimate failings of mankind in the absence of structure and law. It\'s actually quite thought provoking and Morris does well to bring the the growing angst of her young protagonist to the fore, as she looks to her heart and must come to terms with a new order in which survival is everything.
